Our Story
Green Ivy Realty was founded by Principal Broker, Mark Machlis, who moved from Seattle, WA to Salt Lake City, UT in the early 1990s. With a career spanning various areas of real estate, consulting, and business, Mark is primarily an entrepreneur. He has owned restaurants in Salt Lake and collaborated with numerous investors, developers, and business owners, gaining extensive experience in project management, fix-and-flip projects, buy-and-hold rentals, and multifamily properties.
In 2019, Andrew and Ashley joined the team after relocating from Colorado to Downtown, Salt Lake City and renting an apartment from Mark. Soon after, Andrew began assisting Mark with yard cleanup and property maintenance for the rentals he managed. By 2020, both Ashley and Andrew obtained their real estate licenses and became members of the NAR to advance their careers in real estate and property management.
Since then, Green Ivy Realty has experienced significant growth and looks forward to expanding its business for many years to come.

Mark Machlis
Principal Broker / Property Manager
Moving from Seattle to Salt Lake City was a fantastic opportunity to reset our lives in the late ‘80s. Coming from the Northwest where I learned to sail, ski, and began raising our family, we moved right into the best snow on earth, mountain sailing in Park City and grew a family with the love of my life, Mira. She and I created an amazing company, Ivy Foods. We manufactured vegetarian foods many years before today’s ‘plant-based foods’ became so popular. Yes, I played a founding role in the development of Tofurky! Together Mira and I owned Park Ivy Garden Café in the 9th and 9th area of SLC. Our restaurant was a nurturing place that strove to follow a path of ‘Conscience Nourishment’.
The next chapter, Mira and I decided to go back into Real Estate, and Green Ivy Realty was established. Mira and I love to help, guide and nurture our clients…. by building portfolios of properties along side them. Helping to manage those properties is an honor, we are able to see each goal through by actively managing our client's assets. Our guiding principle is to treat our clients as if they were part of our family. We go the extra mile, as if we owned each property ourselves.
Where is my happy place? Sailing the San Juan Islands in Washington, or whatever water beckons me!
Ashley Wolocatiuk
Associate Broker / Property Manager
Having grown up in California I moved to Colorado in 2017, then to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2019. I was previously a paralegal for over 10 years and practiced in many areas of law in each state I lived in. I decided to switch up my career in 2020 to start my path in real estate and property management after my husband, Andrew, began exploring the avenues of the real estate industry. Since then I've worked my way up to Associate Broker and find myself enjoying working with 1st-time home buyers and maintaining day to day office tasks of our property management business. I enjoy learning and working on other realms including, commercial investment & management, HOA management, finance and multi-family investments.
At home I have 2 daughters, a loving husband, a dog and 2 black kitties. One of my passions include being an advocate for blood cancer patients, survivors and family members. I have ran 5 half-marathons for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, raising over $15K in funds for those affected by blood cancers. As a blood cancer survivor myself, I have a deep love and understanding for the fight against cancers and value the importance of resilience and community through my experience.
Andrew Wolocatiuk
Realtor / Property Manager
Born in South Lake Tahoe, CA and raised in Sonoma County near the California Bay Area, I moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 2014 for an undergraduate degree in K-12, Physical Education from Colorado Mesa University. While in CO, I spent LOTS of time outside learning and teaching outdoor adventure sports such as backpacking, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking/rafting, international travel and so much more.
Ashley and I decided Salt Lake was a great fit for us both with careers and location in mind so here we are since 2019. As a husband, dad of two daughters and self proclaimed outdoor-adventure-sports-addict, I appreciate the many awesome things in life that come with living in a great place, having an amazing family and engaging with the community.
My favorite thing about my career is connecting and helping people through something simple like having a roof over their head or fixing something in their home. I look forward to expanding my roots here in Utah through my career, family, community and the mountains.
Zachery Ulland

As a proud Utah native I grew up in the vibrant neighborhoods of Sugar House, Murray, Holladay, and Millcreek.
In my 20's I moved to St. George, Utah, I dialed in my passion for merchandising and e-commerce which played a key role in transforming a small business into a local success story.

After returning to the Salt Lake Valley, I reconnected with my former mentor and gained hands-on expertise in real estate defaults, foreclosures, and short sales.
For several years, I knocked on doors for investors and potential clients, an invaluable experience that continues to shape my approach in real estate today.

Licensed and practicing as a real estate professional since 2014, I have become an expert in a diverse range of real estate transactions, including single-family homes, condos, multi-family units, and commercial land. I look forward to working with individuals and helping them through their real estate goals and needs.
